All our flower bouquets are wet wrapped at the base of the stems to keep the flowers hydrated if left unattended upon delivery.

Having beautiful flowers is actually really easy. Upon receiving your flowers or as soon as possible, gently unwrap them, cut about 2cm diagonally off the bottom of the stems and place in cool, fresh water. Note that this will all be done for you already for arrangements supplied in vases. Change water and clean the vase every 2 days for maximum longevity. Flower food (we normally provide a sachet for our bouquets) can also be used to mix into the fresh water. All flowers should be kept out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.

To keep our flowers amazing and fresh, we try our best to source our flowers on the morning of delivery. On average, floral arrangements last from 4 days to a week, whilst some native wildflowers can even last up to 2 weeks.

Once you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation to your nominated email address (or phone call) within 30 minutes. Please let us know immediately if any of the details contained therein are incorrect. In the event that we need to discuss any of your special requirements with you (for example, if you have provided a specific delivery timeframe that we are unable to fulfil), we will contact you by phone (or email, if we are unable to reach you) to discuss alternative arrangements. We will then get straight to work building your beautiful arrangement and will contact you again once the flowers are ready for delivery.

It’s important to us that you receive your flowers when you want them and as fresh as possible.

To ensure this happens, we will personally hand deliver your flowers and try our very best to do so at a time of your choosing, provided it is within our overall guidelines below. Please ensure you clearly state your preferred delivery time in the ‘Special Instructions’ section.

Our overall delivery guidelines are:

– For all orders placed before 1:00 pm, same day delivery.

– For all orders placed after 1:00pm, next day delivery anytime after 8am.

LIGHT

Place terrariums indoor with bright, but indirect light. Never put in direct sunlight or outside.

WATER

Open Terrariums – Pour or spray water directly into soil and plants to make the soil moist (around half a cup) around once every 14-20 days depending on season and climate (more in hot or dry weather, less in cold). Keep soil moist between watering but not soaking wet. Don’t let open terrariums dry out completely.  Sealed Terrariums – require little watering, check the soil is moist. When in doubt, it is always better to withhold water then to give too much. Sealed terrariums will fog up, which is perfectly normal.

(if you are going away for extended time you can put a lid on it and this will keep it moist).

PRUNING

Many plants in a terrarium will gradually outgrow their limited space. A little trimming often promotes side shoots that fill out plants. Be sure to remove all dead vegetation from the terrarium. You should also trim tips if they start to touch the glass. Remove any plants that begin to rot. Rot is often associated with too much moisture. Terrarium may need re-potting when root bound.

CLEANING

Glass/vase of terrarium will need to be cleaned occasionally with a damp cloth to remove build up on glass.

Most indoor plants generally prefer warm indirect sunlight and allow top 2-3 cm of soil to dry out between watering as over watering may lead to root rot, signs of this are yellowing or wilting leaves.

Phalaenopsis orchids, also known as “Moth Orchids,” are popular indoor plants cherished for their elegant appearance and relatively easy care. Here are some care instructions to help you maintain your indoor Phalaenopsis orchids:

  1. Light: Place your Phalaenopsis orchid near a bright, indirect light source. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves. An east- or north-facing window is often ideal.
  2. Temperature: Phalaenopsis orchids thrive in average room temperatures, typically ranging from 65°F to 75°F (18°C to 24°C). Protect them from drastic temperature fluctuations, drafts, and cold windows.
  3. Watering: Watering is one of the critical aspects of orchid care. Water your orchid thoroughly when the potting mix feels dry to the touch, but not completely dry. Water early in the day to allow excess moisture to evaporate. Be cautious not to let the orchid sit in standing water, as this can lead to root rot.
  4. Humidity: Orchids appreciate higher humidity levels. If the air in your home is dry, consider using a humidity tray or placing a humidifier near the orchid. Misting the orchid’s leaves can also help maintain humidity.
  5. Potting Mix: Phalaenopsis orchids are usually potted in a well-draining, coarse potting mix. You can use a mix specifically formulated for orchids or make your own using materials like bark, perlite, and sphagnum moss.
  6. Repotting: Repot your orchid every one to two years, or when you notice the potting mix breaking down. Choose a slightly larger pot with good drainage. Repotting helps prevent root overcrowding and promotes healthy growth.
  7. Fertilizing: Feed your orchid with a balanced, water-soluble orchid fertilizer at half-strength every two to four weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce or stop fertilizing during the dormant period (fall and winter).
  8. Pruning: Trim any yellow or dead leaves, spent flower spikes, or damaged parts to keep the plant looking tidy and healthy.
  9. Air Circulation: Good air circulation is essential to prevent fungal issues. Ensure there’s some space between plants and avoid overcrowding.
  10. Encouraging Reblooming: To encourage reblooming, expose your orchid to slightly cooler temperatures (around 55°F to 65°F or 13°C to 18°C) at night for several weeks. This mimics their natural habitat and can trigger flower spikes.

Remember that every orchid can have slightly different needs, so it’s a good practice to observe your plant and adjust care based on its response. With proper care, your Phalaenopsis orchid can reward you with stunning blooms for years to come.
